'Fluffy' let loose on ball field

Sunday, May 18
1:11 a.m., An officer responded to a report of loud subjects on the corner of Washington and Gerrard streets. The responsible subjects were contacted and asked to quiet down.
2:16 a.m., An officer responded to a report of a suspicious subject on Washington Street near the Fire House. The subject was reported to have followed two women from a local bar toward their hotel. The subject was described as smelling like beer and vomit. The subject was located and taken to his hotel.
3:47 p.m., An officer responded to a local restaurant for a report of a subject refusing to pay for a bottle of wine he had consumed. The officer pointed out error of his ways and the subject paid for his beverage.
10:18 p.m., Officers responded to a cellular 911 call of a domestic violence incident in a vehicle on Spring Street. The victim and suspect were gone from the area when officers arrived. The victim was located at her residence a few hours later. She declined a report, stating the argument was only verbal.
Monday, May 19
2:59 a.m., An officer responded to the report of an elderly female jumping out of the bushes on Petrified Forest Road. No one was located.
11:30 a.m., An officer responded to a report of a non-injury vehicle accident on Lincoln Avenue near Fair Way. A report was taken.
4 p.m., An officer took a report of possible animal cruelty on Spring Street. The matter is under investigation.
4:33 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Foothill Boulevard. A report was taken.
8:14 p.m., An officer responded to help security evict some unwanted guests in the pool area at a spa. The subjects had left prior to officer’s arrival.
Tuesday, May 20
11:05 a.m., An officer took a theft report from a hotel room on Silverado Trail. The matter is under investigation.
7:27 p.m., Another theft was located at the same hotel from a different room. Another report was taken.
Wednesday, May 21
An officer took a grand theft report from a shop on Lincoln Avenue. A $400 watch was taken.
10:35 p.m., An officer responded to a report of loud music on Washington Street near Earl Street. The responsible subject was located and asked to turn down the music.
11:33 p.m., An officer responded to the area of Lake Street and View Road for a report of subjects getting ready to fight. No one was located.
Thursday, May 22
1:27 p.m., An officer responded to a report of an elderly male subject walking on Washington Street near Second Street wearing only a white bath towel. The reporting citizen thought the subject may be disoriented. The subject was located a few minutes later, but was wearing a pair of shorts. No towel was located.
8:06 p.m., An officer responded to the Little League field for a report of an elderly woman letting her dog run around and defecate on the playing field. Apparently she felt the “No dogs on the field” sign didn’t apply to little “Fluffy.” She was contacted and advised differently.
9:35 p.m., An officer responded to a report of a possible DUI driver on Petrified Forest Road. The vehicle was located and the driver was determined to be sober.
Friday, May 23
3:15 p.m., Officers responded to a request for a welfare check on Champagne East. The officers had to force entry into the home and located the resident unconscious due to a medical condition. Medical personnel were summoned to the scene and transported the patient to the hospital.
4:15 p.m., An officer responded to a report of a subject in an electric wheelchair having battery problems. The subject was located easily due to the fact that he hadn’t moved. Assistance was provided to the subject to get him back on the road again.
Saturday, May 24
1:33 a.m., An officer located a subject sleeping in a vehicle on Foothill Boulevard. The subject was found to have two warrants from Napa County and was arrested. He was later booked into the county jail.
11 a.m., CHP, fire and ambulance personnel responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 128 west of town. The subject needed extrication to be removed from his vehicle. CHP handled the report.
9:06 p.m., An officer responded to an Earl Street home for a report of threats just received over the phone. The matter is under investigation.
11:18 p.m., An officer responded to a report of juveniles on North Oak Street riding skateboards and using language that would make a trucker blush. The foul-mouthed youths were gone from the area on arrival.
