St. Helena man accused of child molestation
Wednesday, July 01, 2009

An 18-year-old St. Helena man was arrested Friday on felony child molestation charges.

The suspect, Rudolfo Jacinto Perez, was charged with committing lewd and lascivious acts and penetration with a foreign object, both on a minor under the age of 14.

According to St. Helena Police Sgt. Chris Hartley, the acts were consensual and took place near the victim’s St. Helena home. The victim’s doctors notified police about the case, said Hartley.

After an investigation, police set up a meeting with Perez at Meily Park, where he was identified by the victim.

Perez is in custody at Napa County Jail.
