Three men and a juvenile were arrested early Thursday morning in Calistoga on suspicion of vandalism after police found graffiti near the city’s Little League Field, according to Calistoga police.
Arrested were Steve Mutz, 19, of Calistoga, Jordan Ruiz, 18, of Calistoga, John Graydon, 20, of Healdsburg and a 17-year-old teen girl, according to police. The three men were booked into the Napa County Jail while the teen girl was taken to Napa County Juvenile Hall.
They had spray paint cans, Calistoga Police Sgt. Tim Martin said.
The four are suspected of spraying graffiti on the electric box that opens the gate to a walking and riding trail to Dunaweal Lane, Martin explained. The gate opens the trail to city vehicles. Police then found more graffiti on an emergency services trailer and city signs, he said, including large paintings on each side of the trailer.
The charges are felonies because the damage exceeds $500, Martin said. The incident was not gang-related, he said.
