Girls soccer blanked by Coyotes
Wednesday, October 28, 2009

For the second time in as many meetings, Calistoga was held scoreless against the Coyotes.

But after Friday’s home matchup, Wildcats head coach Stephanie Dietz felt much better about her team’s performance.

The Coyotes scored all five of their goals in the first half.

“We made some nice runs and worked hard,” Dietz said.

“All around we just could not keep up with the speed and experience of Sonoma Academy. We played much better this time around.”

Individually, Dietz praised the work of Jenna Reynolds, Wendy Garcia and Lupita Mendoza.

The Wildcats dropped to 3-4-1 entering Wednesday’s scheduled road game at Potter Valley.
