Catherine (Kate) G. Low
1927-2010
Tuesday, February 09, 2010

Kate passed away peacefully and quietly surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 31, 2010. She faced cancer and death as she lived life over the decades — with grace, courage, gratitude and wit. Kate was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Stamford, Conn., and was the only child of the late Katherine and Joseph Gash. In 1955 she married John Robertson Low (deceased). The family lived abroad 13 years in Rome, Copenhagen and Brussels, before returning to the Bay Area, where they lived in Tiburon and the Napa Valley. Loving mother of Susan L. Hall, Sarah S. Low and Peter R. Low (deceased). Devoted grandmother to Enzo P. Piersante and loved mother-in-law to Mark A. Piersante and Warren Brian Annin. Kate will be greatly missed by her close family and friends who transcended multiple generations.

Friends and family are invited to the celebration of her life on Friday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m., at her home, (415) 342 6142. In lieu of flowers, please remember Kate with a donation to the Cedars of Marin, P.O. Box 947, Ross, CA 94957 or www.thecedarsofmarin.org.
